Allows me to stand my road bike upright.
Allows you to park your road bike upright in your Subaru Outback. There isn't much headroom, so I have to position the bike carefully so I don't mess with or damage the car's headliner. I also have to remove the seatpost, although this isn't a major inconvenience. In a van or large SUV, you might not have these worries. Having the bike inside, protected from dirt and safe from theft, is a significant benefit.
