I only used this for internal connections but it works as described. It's accurate and allows for much smoother cuts. You must use the included angle finder, don't assume your angles are true 90, most of them are not. The instructions are good and illustrated. I held them together with the template and watched until I had done enough to remember which way the table and template went depending on the side of the cut. This makes crown shaping with just a miter/miter saw and not very feasible anymore. I'm glad I found it, it was worth the investment.
