Overall this is a good product for the money. The main downside is what other reviews have pointed out: the metal pin rings are flimsy and will literally break as you use them. I don't know why they even bother turning them on. Before using this product, you must remove these rings and replace them with something more durable, such as B. key rings or wire. There isn't much room in the suspension area on my Mazda Miata and I was only able to use one of these spring compressors. I ended up cutting off part of the threaded rod to make it shorter while trying to mount the second compressor onto the spring. Ultimately, the area was still too narrow. After installing the new shocks I assembled the whole assembly with 2 compressors on a workbench and then installed a compressor on the machine to provide a bit of compression. One of the features I like is the ability to use a 1/2" socket on the compressor's main bolt, which allows you to use a 1/2" impact wrench or electric drill to quickly tighten the compressor open / close.
