Review on Powerful And Quiet Submersible Pump For Aquarium, Pond, And Hydroponics: KEDSUM 660GPH Pump With 6Ft High Lift And 3 Nozzles by Matt Patnaik

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Half the output of my previous pump

Granted, this may be targeted for aquariums and decorative ponds, but gave it a shot after seeing someone used for their pool solar heater. I got the 660 gpm model to replace a 330 gpm transfer pump to cool my pool via a sprinkler overnight (evaporative cooling). I thought this would be better since it was submersible (no worries about rain) and for salt water systems. Even with the narrowest adapter and a 3 foot hose to my sprinkler, I am getting less than half the output of the old pump. It may be able to churn that rate with no restrictions, but does not seem to have the pressure so a higher gpm model may not improve.

Pros
  • Easy to adjust water flow rate to achieve optimal results
Cons
  • Could be difficult to prime if it loses its prime
