I usually wait at least a few months before reviewing an item, but Century's outstanding customer service deserves immediate recognition. Now I have 4 of them timers, 3 are working. The original order was for 2, so they are boxed. From the beginning it was not possible to be ahead of the times. The pass switch worked but the timer didn't work. Instead of sending them back, I first emailed the seller describing the problem. In less than 5 minutes they responded with an apology and a promise that the replacement item would be shipped the next day with a tracking number, which it did. It came from California to the east coast in 3 days. (By the way, my email was sent at 9pm.) The replacements work fine. Two more letters came from Century. One on the day of dispatch advising that both new timers have been tested and the second 3 days after receipt asking if everything was satisfactory. This level of seller responsiveness is unusual and should be acknowledged. Specifications: 3 pins, non-polarized and grounded. Size: 3 1/4" long, 2 1/4" wide, 1 1/4" deep. Dial diameter 1 5/8 inches, weight 3 1/3 ounces. Electrical tolerance: 15 amps at 125 volts, 1875 W - tested. (tungsten is less - 8 amps - not verified) Minimum installation time 30 min. On the side there is a pass-through switch for manually turning on the device connected to the timer. The settings are as follows: black dial - night, white dial - Day.(The product name doesn't mention it's a "mini timer" but the fine print in the specs matches that on the product packaging.) The plug is located at the bottom of the timer and won't interfere with the bottom outlet when plugged into the Number one deployed. The timer is controlled by pressing the buttons around the dial for the desired on time. When the buttons are at the top the circuit is turned off via the timer.[Note: The timer comes with the buttons pressed.]D The edge of each key needs to be turned up, and this requires some force. It's best to rotate the dial with the buttons pulled up so that the buttons to press are on the sides of the timer to get the most out of it, but you can do that with your fingernail too. This is the smallest timer I've ever had, which is good. from a cosmic point of view, but the numbers on the dial are extremely small and difficult to read for people with poor eyesight. So far I have had good experiences with timers. Any problems will be flagged in the update.
