I was looking for something more modern for my bedroom. I wasn't sure if getting a remote-only fan was worth it, but it really is a game changer! The initial installation went pretty smoothly. The instructions were easy to follow. And I was able to install everything by myself in a few hours. The first time I tried to start the fan with the remote it didn't work. Honestly, I thought I screwed up something with the install. The problem was that you have to press the power button on the remote control, after which you can turn on the fan. So a simple mistake on my part turned a moment of disappointment into a moment of joy as soon as the fan started to work. The fan is quiet. Air flow is good. I'm very glad I got this fan and didn't go for one of the typical outdated options at Home Depot or Lowes.
