Prominence Home Clancy Ceiling Fan - Brushed Nickel, 52-inch Review

Bought two of these. The first went in with no problems and worked perfectly. Very quiet (virtually no sound on low settings while sleeping) and looks great. I fully installed the second but found that it was not receiving power. After checking the wiring 3x, I ordered a replacement and put everything back in the box (annoying). The replacement fan works great, just like the first one I installed. In general, I'm satisfied, but I wish I didn't have to deal with the exchange.

This low profile fan was purchased for a living room with a low ceiling. I flush fitted it at first but found I really couldn't get enough airflow for the room in the process. Reinstalled with the included bracket down and changed everything! This is an elegant fan and looks good. I liked the remote control and it was pretty easy to set up. Purchase: Fine Packaging: Fine Installation: An absolute pain due to the wiring and limited space. When installing a light, there is almost no wiggle room to get the cords in place while trying to lock them to complete the installation. Performance: Displaces quite a lot of air, only noise is high airflow, but that's what you buy it for. However, if the fan does not allow all of the bracket screws to be tightened, it will produce a metal-on-metal grinding noise.

We bought this fan for our new beach house. Installation was a bit more difficult than with other fans. As other people have mentioned, the lack of space made it difficult with the wiring. The fan looks quite elegant, but with this "wood look" on the blades. It goes great with my weird computer and rustic theme. In general, my wife and I like this fan. We have a high sloping ceiling in our bedroom and I used this fan to replace an old corded fan. Due to the pitches I also had to purchase an 18" down rod separately. I will outline my thoughts on the process below.
