I confess I am new to dual band wireless routers. I just got a TP-Link AC 1750 router and connections above 5GHz are impressive. This adapter seems to prefer connecting over the 2.4GHz band over the faster option. As a result, I'm getting 40MB of connections when I could be getting 120 or so. I replaced it with another brand and it connects to 5GHz much more frequently. I returned it.
