Review on Samyang SYIO35AF-E 35mm f/2.8 Ultra Compact Wide Angle Lens for πŸ“· Sony E Mount Full Frame, Black: Optimal Solution for Stunning Wide Angle Photography by Ada Zieleniewska ᠌

The product is completely satisfied, performs its functions.

I was looking for something everyday and budget with autofocus, because there is enough optics through the adapter. In principle, it justifies itself if you need to catch something faster than with your hands. There is enough sharpness, bokeh is present - you can take it if you need exactly 35mm with autofocus on Sony E With its pros. Really very light, almost not felt. Sharp enough for a 12MP Sony a7s. Budget autofocus compared to other offerings for this mount Its cons: It often smears - maybe the problem is my copy, or maybe the firmware, as they say here. Tracking autofocus on the Sony a7s is a little tight, it seems to be constantly ating, despite the fact that the subject is captured, because of this it twitches and makes noise. By the way, yes, a bit noisy. The minimum focusing distance is too big for such a focal length - 0.35 m

Completely satisfied with the lens, it works out its money!

Different pros: Sharp, remarkably light weight and compact Cons below: Not sure what's ideal for video. There is a feeling that focusing is not so sure in AF-C mode.

I thought it would be a lens for every day for alpha 7m2, but I didn’t have the patience for the often squinting focus. I go with 55mm Sonnar and catch any frame my soul asks for (but it is not so compact, the only minus for me)
