I bought this to make some ball joints where a regular tool just isn't big enough to fit the shell. It arrived in a decent blow molded plastic case. The tool is heavy and thick. The downside is that the threads are cheap and flimsy. Slack enough that you can move the end of the driveshaft about 1 inch either way. I see that this will cause problems in the future. They seem so loose that I'm afraid they might break. I used this tool on a ball joint and it worked fine. I guess time will tell but my current ball joint press is 15 years old and has tighter threads than this one. 24-year-old state-certified automotive technician.
