My main complaint about sealant (dielectric grease) is that it stains when it is applied. Some fittings are mostly dry while others have proper application. Fittings will NOT seal without the right amount of lubricant. I went through 25 random connections. Less than half had applied the right amount of sealer. One half of the connector is slotted and the other side is a butt connector. This makes them more suitable as taps than as butt connectors. If you look at my photos you can see how the connectors work and that one of the connectors is completely lacking lubrication. If you plan to use them, you'll need to check them all and add dielectric grease if necessary.
