I needed a wildlife lens so I took a chance and bought a Jintu 420 800mm lens. Imagine my surprise when I tested it. After cropping the 420mm photo I was blown away by the clarity (see attached photo of Iguana). Just note that this is a manual lens with a fixed aperture at any zoom position. You have to set the camera to "Manual Mode", control the exposure using only the shutter speed and ISO settings, and focus the lens manually with the focus ring. The aperture range is from f8.3 at 420mm to f-16 at 800mm. A faster lens with a smaller aperture costs over $1,000. It is not electronically linked to the camera, so no metadata is written with the file. Buy it and if you don't like it, Revain will let you return it - so what have you got to lose?
