Review on 🐠 Efficient Undergravel Fishbowl Filter: Lee's Pet Products ALE13200, 1-Gallon by Jamie Smith

You can't save money, but you can make it

I've read other reviews. One said it was good for gallon cans. maybe, but the glass I had in mind had a hole that was too small. Don't buy this and think you're saving money. If you don't buy locally, $7 is $3 less than a small aquarium with light and filter at your local pet store. I noticed a few things one person said bend it to fit your glass. I don't recommend it. I tried it and it literally showed signs of cracking, but I think mine was fine after all. Also, I listened to the reviews and dropped the plant. One of the other reviews mentioned not wanting to use charcoal/whatever that entails due to water issues going dark etc. So I didn't buy Aquatech charcoal from a local retailer like the other person did. . The cartridge is difficult to disassemble, I often wonder how often I can replace the coal myself. and it also had horrible cotton swab like stuff on the top and bottom of the cartridge. I replace the cotton with my Aquaclear filter pads. I took the clipper in the middle of the bottom of the item where the plant holder was and notched it because the rounded bottom of my tank didn't match the post there. So everything is fine now and the only thing you will notice from now on is the noise. it's quite bubbly, has something to do with bubble holes, it's just very bubbly, even with the lid on. Anyway I thought I was saving money but I soon found that wasn't the case and with a few modifications I'm fine now.
