I would probably give this water alarm 4 stars (it's quite difficult to set up, even with a fairly lengthy manual). BUT, this describes the ability to receive SMS text messages. This is the ONLY reason I got it to replace my existing water alarm kit. And they don't tell you in the description that there is an additional monthly or annual fee for receiving SMS messages. Push notifications *when* an app is running on your phone. NOTE: On many phones, the Tuya Smartlife app will not launch and/or close on startup, regardless of battery settings. And the app doesn't send notifications unless you log in regularly (or at least after every random app update). So if you rely on an app to notify you of an emergency, it might not work if you don't use the app and make sure it's running all the time.
