Review on RAM Mounts Drilling Solution: Enhance Humminbird Helix 7 with Double Ball Mount - RAM-202-24-202U by Martin Alvarez

Use this on a 7 coil fitted to a Predator 13 (kayak). It works great, it was designed for a 7 helix so I didn't have to come up with a mounting solution like I've done with a lot of other things on my kayak. With a device as expensive as the Helix 7, I wanted a strong and well-made mount. This is too much. When it came to pushing, you could hit a fish with it. It's metal and looks like a 1/4 20 screw that attaches to the cocking knob. It's quite large which is good because I don't want my fish finder anywhere but in my boat. Since I'm in a kayak, I need to be able to push the device away from me or closer as needed. The ball mount is great for this, I can place it almost anywhere. However, without mounting material. A bit odd considering how expensive it is, but most hardware stores sell stainless steel hardware, so never mind. Although for such a price it would be possible to throw nuts and bolts there. Four stars because I'm still a bit salty. Overall it was hard to justify how expensive it is but now that I have it I'm glad I bought it and have no regrets.
