Used at Lake Powell last weekend and the anchor bungee saved our hull from serious damage! As you approach the beach (which in Lake Powell is often pure sandstone that will seriously damage your boat!), anchor off your back about 50 feet from shore. Once thrown, simply place the drive in neutral and the bungee will eventually slow, stop and then gently pull the boat back toward the water. If you have the timing right (which is easy because the bungee has a lot of stretching range), jump with the bow rope as the front of the boat nears shore and just have someone hold it until you hit the existing one Can tie or prepare bracket for your beach lace. In any case, place it so that the bungee keeps the boat about 10 feet from shore (floating) and when you need to get in, just pull the bow cable towards you and the bungee will give enough for you to be able to pull the boat closer as you climb in. That works great. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is boating on a rocky coast or just doesn't want to damage the bow of their boat by letting it slide on a sandy beach.
