Updated - works great until the elastic snaps

They work great for reducing impact on the boat and bottom gear but I usually do about 4 seasons at a time before the elastic snaps. Still good value for money and a great item. Update - the one I had before (different brand but exactly the same idea) lasted 4 seasons before the rubber band broke. This lasted less than a year. At this price point and for such a short lifespan, this is poor value.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Good buy! on gear

Bought this for a week long sea voyage because it's always difficult to anchor where we're going. It worked great! The bungee kept the anchor from breaking even when the water was rough. The boat is a 22 foot Tahoe. In addition, you can pull the boat ashore to board without letting go of the anchor line (due to the bungee). The diving problem mentioned by some people was solved by releasing the hook, sliding onto the float and reattaching the hook. Now it swims well. Good buy!

It works but doesn't last long

I really like Airhead products and was happy to find an option that can be used as a bungee to tow my boat out to sea. It worked for a while, but soon it stretched, then more and more, and finally turned into a rope. Enough for a year and a half of moderate and intensive operation. My boat is only 14 feet long and is aluminum so it's not heavy. I will say it never broke. It's a great concept and probably fine for casual use, but I'm not going to spend any money on it.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Legacy

Not for salt water

Product works as advertised and really helps when a good stern anchor is needed. I took off a star because the hooks on each end began to fade the first day the anchor line was brought to shore. The start-up began before this line sank in salt water for the first time. This is not a saltwater accessory. I will be giving it another week but will most likely be sending it back as I need a bungee cord that will stand up to the salt water environment.

Pros
  • Loads of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not the best

If it doesn't burst.

I don't know how I feel about this. I have used it 4 times. The first three times I was very impressed and it worked flawlessly. There were large boulders on the shore and this allowed me to land right on the rocks and then pull the stern back until the bow line was taut. I think I might have single-handedly sold one to everyone who was near my beach camp. It was really amazing. Then the next morning I woke up and the rubber band had clearly snapped and my boat was rocking against a boulder…

Flexible and safe - in shallow water

Was very happy with this anchor line. We use this to bounce our wakeboat off the shore. We've used it on the beach and in rocky conditions. This works great with a static stern line to the beach. You just pull the stern line and pull the boat up for loading or whatever. Release and the boat will move away from the shore. The photo shows that the bungee keeps the stern cable above the water with constant tension. . Needs a little clarification first and to be honest I think it would be better on

  • Comfortable

  • Thin

Used at Lake Powell last weekend and the anchor bungee saved our hull from serious damage! As you approach the beach (which in Lake Powell is often pure sandstone that will seriously damage your boat!), anchor off your back about 50 feet from shore. Once thrown, simply place the drive in neutral and the bungee will eventually slow, stop and then gently pull the boat back toward the water. If you have the timing right (which is easy because the bungee has a lot of stretching range), jump with…

Works the same as Anchor Buddy

Instead of throwing your boat ashore this bungee works well. Used on my boat's stern and bow bolts. My anchor is a 15 pound slip ring arm. I highly recommend using a regular anchor line alongside the anchor bungee. Because of this, it is easy to install and remove the anchor. DO NOT USE BUNGE FOR OR. Anchor with a tethered bungee and rope. Wait for your anchor to hit the bottom, then loosen the rope a little. Little. Tie the rope and bungee to the front brace of the arch. Slowly take the boat…

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • Not everything fits
