Review on πŸ”Œ Monster MP AV 200 Audio Video PowerCenter AV 200: Clean Power Stage 1 v2.0 - Discontinued Edition by Stetson Olsen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for the current price!

I have 5 of these at home now for less than $10. I am very satisfied with the functions and the quality. They have a clamping voltage of 330 volts (V), which is top-notch, hard to find, and usually retains data without reading the microprint on the back of the device, and especially at this ridiculously low price. One of the reasons they are so cheap is that they were made years ago. The ones I ordered were made around 2007 and 2008. On the back there is a date code and a UL hologram sticker with the year. The manual/guarantee booklet also states the same date. They're new and there's nothing wrong with them, it's just that they've probably been in storage for years and a large number have recently been found as at least two companies here are selling them for $9.99. They filter level 1 but not V2.0 as the name suggests. says who knows what the newer V2.0 does and I don't care. Also, newer monster surge protectors in this price range have now moved to 400V or even 500V clamping voltage, which allows a more destructive voltage to be transferred to your devices before the MOV trips, conducting the surge to ground (or sacrificing itself to the to ultimately protect connected devices). Gear). The LEDs showing active protection and ground are ok but very dim and not as bright as some of the others. I recommend this item for this price. Read the specs and understand what you are buying as not all surge protectors are created equal. I hope my review was helpful and thanks for reading.
