LOOKS GREAT! for footrests

The footrest was very easy to assemble and arrived in perfect condition. Looks great on our front door. It should be noted that there is a very thin plastic coating on the front. Footplate that needs to be removed after installation I've seen a few negative reviews stating that the footplate arrived scratched and I'm wondering if these people didn't know to remove the plastic cover - that detail is explained in the Instructions not mentioned The box appears scratched and dull until the plastic peels off. Once this is done the plate is bright, shiny brass and looks amazing!
