About 12 years later the factory key for my Tundra finally died. I called a service for a replacement last year and the rough estimate would have been over $300 including programming and a new remote. So I wasn't worried, I just went old school and used the key to lock and unlock the doors. I was looking for information about a different setup, I went to the truck and the poster mentioned a problem with the key fob and lo and behold, that's where we ended up. was the savior of several road/parking emergencies in my life. The price was reasonable and the simplicity of the included programmer made this an easy purchase. It took me less than a minute to program the key fob and if needed I can use the programmer 2 more times. In short, this product has saved me hundreds compared to having the dealer set it up. The fob itself is black instead of the factory blue, but looks just as strong and durable as the OEM fob. I would recommend it to anyone not suffering from a true mechanical or electrical breakdown. Dorman saves the day again. At least for me.
