I got this to replace a dome light in my truck that was slowly melting away over time. The only problem I had was a weird power plug that the factory used in my truck, which I simply cut off and crimped onto a bullet connector so I could unplug it if needed. Also, I missed the part where the lens rotates on the cap. I figured it out after putting the lid back on, with one of the protrusions now cracked <:0The lights are bright! Even red light. I wish there was a selectable low power setting if you like. I also want these lanterns to have a rectangular or square base. I had to make a wooden base to cover the sides of the original opening. Maybe I'll buy a diamond plate later. Overall, this is an easy setup and I like being able to choose between red light, white light, or no light at all. For example if you park somewhere in the evening and listen to music with the doors open and not have to worry about attracting bugs or curious people to see what you're doing! The photos were taken at night without a flash. Whether you're upgrading your light or doing a fresh install, this is the light you need to get!
