Review on Pelican 1730 Transport Case With Foam (OD Green) by Mark Erandio

First off, Pelican makes fantastic cases and this will be no exception for most consumers. However, due to a fairly serious design flaw, this model and probably all wheeled models remain in a case that I can use. The attached photo shows a solid bottom layer and a "pull and pluck" bottom layer. It is obvious that the body is molded under the wheels. However, the foam does not completely cover the mold. As a result, fragile items are left without support. As mentioned, this is probably not a major shortcoming for most consumers, but it makes the case useless for storing the telescope. Four stars because the case is still very good for most uses, but not for me. Great case, I just have to choose another model.
