Bought for my telescope Celestron SkyProdigy 130

This housing convinced me. Wow. When you need to store something valuable, put it in a premium case. In the case of the SkyProdigy 130 telescope, take a look at my customer photo to see how I ended up tearing off the foam for it. I could accommodate everything. Scope, tripod, base - even some accessories - all in one case. Don't forget to get free shipping if available. It took two couriers to get it to my door. But I would buy everything again in a heartbeat.

Everything you love about Pelican New BIG luggage

A great addition to the PELICAN line. I use it to transport my EPSON P800 printer. Due to its dimensions, this housing is equally suitable for lighting sets and power supplies. The carton 1730 nests within the other cartons 1730, which is particularly useful during transportation and facilitates palletized shipping by a common carrier. This size should be more efficient and easier to use than a PELICAN 1620. I use two 1620s to hold a pack of 2400ws and six heads. A 1730 could do it.

Great case!: Watersports

I bought this for a large screen computer that we have at work and that needs to be transported between offices on a daily basis. This computer cost $30,000, so I really needed something strong and hard that was insulated and padded on the inside to avoid bumps that could occur with any movement. This case is everything. It was easy to cut out the foam inserts to form what you need to protect. I highly recommend this box if you have something large that needs quality storage. And you can also…

Foam does not apply to wheel molds.

First off, Pelican makes fantastic cases and this will be no exception for most consumers. However, due to a fairly serious design flaw, this model and probably all wheeled models remain in a case that I can use. The attached photo shows a solid bottom layer and a "pull and pluck" bottom layer. It is obvious that the body is molded under the wheels. However, the foam does not completely cover the mold. As a result, fragile items are left without support. As mentioned, this is probably not a…

Sturdy and easy to transport

This is the third Pelican of this size that we have purchased to transport trade show materials to and from the events we host. Very durable and ideal for frequent deliveries. On one of the two we bought about 18 months ago the handle broke from heavy use. We bought this to replace one with a broken handle. The foam inserts are very comfortable and work well. We fitted one to our TV monitor and it protects it well during transport. The clasps are easy to open/close and there is room to insert a

Coverage 5 out of 5 stars. foam. not good for heavy loads.

Case 5 out of 5 stars. foam . not good for heavy loads. I had to buy kaizen foam for this. CONTENT: - German Celestron CGX equatorial mount - Celestron tripod legs - Celestron counterweights - Counterweight rod - Various small items (cable routing panel etc.) The size is perfect for this. It's a big box and HEAVY once loaded. But this is beauty! I don't expect the Pelican Pluck foam to last very long for these heavy loads and wow it's expensive. When the time comes, I'll cut some Kaizen foam…

Heavy body but otherwise perfect.

A wonderful suitcase with wheels that allow one person to move it. The case is quite heavy (see description for exact weight) and can be difficult to move up stairs or in areas where wheels cannot be used. This makes transportation a two-person job, especially when there's equipment inside weighing more than 10 or 20 pounds. It's too bulky to carry with one hand, and anyone who does risks injuring themselves. There's a reason they show forklifts moving it in commercials. I don't recommend…
