I bought these to replace rubber spring dampers when replacing struts and springs. My old insulators rotted and cracked. This can be due to the magnesium chloride defroster as it dries out the rubber and causes cracks. Since Mag-Chloride gets on the road here in the winter, I figured I'd switch to polyurethane spring isolators when building the struts so this doesn't happen again. They were in good shape. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they don't have 3 "steps" to attach 3 bolt heads to the posts. As a result, they didn't fit as snugly as the factory isolators or Monroe isolators (which came with my Monroe strut mounts).
