Pretty Good Journal

I go through a lot of journals. I keep one nearby when I'm surfing the web, to jot down interesting things. I use one when I'm shopping online to compare prices and features of items. I also just jot down to do lists and ideas of things I want to do.What I want in a journal may not be the same thing that you want in a journal. So I'll write out my pros and cons as I see them, knowing full well that some of my cons may be your pros and vice versa.Positives:has two ribbon markerselastic closuredot grid instead of linesvery smooth writing (paper doesn't have lots of tooth)nicely designed exteriorno feathering of fountain pen inks that I can seeshows fountain pen ink shadingdoes not resist opening flatNegatives:no back pocket (I don't always use these when present, but they can be nice to have)strong ghosting, verging on bleedthrough with wetter pens (I don't mind this too much)I ordered three journals of the same size and am rating them all the same way. This journal was my second favorite of the three.I tested the papers for ghosting and bleedthrough with: pilot uniball vision elite, sharpie pen in green, sharpie marker in ultra fine, pilot v5 ultra fine, Lamy Safari fountain pen (M nib) with Noodler's Rachmaninoff ink, Pelikan Twist (M nib) with Diamine Meadow Ink, Pilot Plumix (stub nib) with purple pilot ink cartridge. A blue highlighter and a pink highlighter.

Pros
  • The beautiful floral design of this notebook adds an extra touch of style and sophistication, making it the perfect accessory for anyone who loves to write or draw on the go
Cons
  • The journal is not versatile enough, as it only serves one specific purpose, making it less useful for general note-taking or other creative projects
