It is impossible to really test each relay with the VOM without this tester. Think about it. The relay is essentially an interlock switch and this tester will cycle the relay 10 times, counting and evaluating the relay as it cycles with a green pass or fail red light. I thought my relay was ok with an ohmmeter but found it bad with this tester and it fixed the not starting problem. Necessary and inexpensive. IMPORTANT: After testing the relay, DO NOT remove the relay while the tester is connected to the battery. Disconnect the battery following the good instructions I should have read THEN remove the relay.
