After 2 hours of walking; Give it a solid 5 Stars

So make no mistake, this is the part I bought from Revain and got direct from Carbole: CarBole 42S Electric Gasoline Fuel Pump Universal 5/16 inch 12V 1-2A 28GPH Inlet and Outlet 2-3.5 PSI Working Fuel Pressure 2 Pipe Design Seller: CarBole Some History: I purchased a used John Deere Z425 mower from a local listing on CL with no warranty. It ran well and needed a few adjustments, but I was happy with the 23hp Briggs Vtec engine. It had enough power to mow the pasture grass that grows abundantly in my backyard, about 3 acres. Until it suddenly stopped working and restarted. Fuel available up to the carburetor started and ran for a minute with gas shot up the carburetor throat but did not get past it. The next day it started and ran a few more cuts in my garden but soon the same problem. Long story short, many hours of fiddling with the fuel solenoid, new fuel filter, new fuel lines, complete tuning: I ended up concluding that I had a "squeezing" mechanical fuel pump. It pumped fuel into the carburetor but didn't have enough pressure to push the solenoid into the fuel tank. At the slightest pressure it stopped pumping. So I thought about replacing the original pump with a new mechanical pump, but I saw several blogs about converting the motor to an electric fuel pump. So I ordered a record that seemed like a better substitute at a good price and ordered it from Revain. Although a few dollars more than the cheapest, I had great service when shopping at Revain. The new pump arrived in brand new packaging and according to the return address and invoice it was direct from CarBole. I decided to install it where the mechanical pump used to be and it was a near perfect replacement. I just had to lengthen the mounting holes by about 1mm. I also roughly fitted my 1/4" fuel lines to the 5/16" fittings on the pump. I haven't tested if it's self-priming, but have filled the MMO pump to pre-lube it so it doesn't have to overcome the dry components in the pump. My fuel tank is designed to fill itself as the fuel has to rise out of the tank and it worked right away. He bled briefly and filled the carburetor. It started right up and I spent at least 2 hours intensively mowing a knee high pasture with this fuel pump. I intend to update this review after doing a few full cuts in my garden. So far I am very happy with this purchase.
