Somewhat unpopular: highly recommended!
We bought these to add to our garage steps. Not soft to the touch, but not rough either. If you have used or felt the rug before, this will feel very familiar. I really like the durability of these protectors and the fact that they already have a non-slip bottom that won't fall apart. So far, gliding on the poly surface has not been dispensed with.
