Review on Alloy USA 12142 Axle Kit by Greg Mahoney

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice axles, a few parts are missing

I installed them myself and they were the first axles I have ever installed. They look well built and fit accordingly. That's why they only get 3 stars: 1. No instructions (would be nice, but there are a few nuances to assembling their trucks that you need to figure out). Don't ask for a manual, get it, just some general instructions on what to look out for during installation. There are nuances to their installation that aren't in the manual (for example, I had to unplug the little plugs on the carousels that came with them so they slide into the yokes, and then install them into the yokes). There is a pressed-on metal dust cover that fits over the yoke of the outer shafts. It is not available for new axles and is not included in seal kits. As a result, they had to be subtracted from the old axles and put on new ones. It's a little frustrating to have to put old anthers on new axles. this is pain Alloy USA would only cost a few bucks to turn them on and start pressuring them. you must have.
