If you have a spare USB-C port. and you've maxed out your HDMI/DVI capabilities, this cable might let you plug in one more monitor. That's why I picked it up, and it worked for me on a 2k monitor running 2560x1440. I like that it's a Display Port plug instead of an HDMI cable. as I am already using all the HDMI Ports on my target monitor. I have a high-end PC, so driving this is no problem. I have no idea how much processing power is required to make this work. I just know it works on my Windows 10 PC.
