Although I don't necessarily drink alcohol, I prefer drinking my water from glass to plastic. I've been looking for a set of glass tumblers that won't break the bank for a while. There was a strange sediment on these glasses that had to be washed off. It would be nice if they were clean with no residue. The second problem was that there were bubbles in the glass. While it's not a big deal, the glasses have a lot of little bubbles that can make them look cheap. Although they can be given as gifts, I wouldn't want them because of the bubbles in the jar, although that might just be an issue with mine. The overall weight of the jars is comfortable and they hold a good amount of liquid, but the 2 issues above would be good to fix - mainly the rest issue.
