Review on Enhance Your Door Closer with the National Hardware N266-221 V1352 Part Kit in Black by Mike Anderson

My original Anderson gear was badly damaged so I started looking for a replacement. I read a lot of reviews and almost everyone bought one which was a little cheaper, but one of the reviews mentioned that the pre-drilled holes didn't line up so they had to drill new ones. I'm very comfortable and that wouldn't be a problem, but I wanted something that was ready to go. I then decided on that. The reviews were great, all the holes matched up, and based on other people's photos the sizing turned out to be pretty accurate. The product is basically an exact replica with one exception. The pin that holds the pneumatic pivot is thinner than the original (look at my photos and you'll see I installed the old pin over the new mount hole, but it's too wide to fit). This isn't a problem as new hardware comes with a thinner pin that fits perfectly. (If you really wanted to keep the original pin you could just drill a slightly larger hole, but again I wanted to keep my hands off the hardware). This product appears to be much more durable than the original part. The only downside is that it's not white. You can easily get white rustoleum color if you are into color. When in doubt, buy (you won't regret it)!
