Most of the installation time is spent cutting the product to the required size. You'll need a clean, large, flat surface, a marker or something similar, and a pair of good scissors. They say to use soapy water but if you don't want streaks I would recommend using Windex as it leaves no residue. I would also recommend two people, one to hold, the other to spray. Everything has to be sparkling clean. Then simply put it on and take a good 15 minutes to squeeze out the bubbles. The bottom had to be cut with a scalpel, no problem. I wanted something that would keep the sun from heating up my room. It works great in the morning but I usually close the blinds in the afternoon as there is still some heat coming through, much less than before. In terms of privacy, the product is great.
