I have new high quality windows in my bedroom, almost floor to ceiling, but I live in South Texas and the heat still drops in the hottest months. This film helps block the remaining heat. It was easy to apply following the instructions and doesn't look unaesthetic! I wish I had found it sooner this summer!

I bought this product to use on the glass windows in a large cage I was renovating. I wanted the glass to be tinted and it turned out beautifully. It was easy to install, easy to cut with a utility knife, and sticks perfectly to glass with a spray bottle of water and some soap. I used a squeegee to remove air bubbles. It was exactly what I was looking for!

Purchased for use on east and south facing windows (3' x 6' each) to try to reduce the amount of sun coming in. On a sunny summer day, each window receives about 5 hours of direct sunlight. Using a handheld infrared thermometer, the inside of a window pane WITH film installed read 1 to 1.5 degrees F HOT than the adjacent pane WITHOUT film! The film is specular and darker than clear glass, so the film appears to absorb some heat rather than reflect it.

My husband and I have long argued about what to do with these windows. He wanted to cover them to hide the sun, but I wanted them to remain visible! I found them after researching options and was so happy with how they turned out! The movie is perfect! They work so well that the room is noticeably darker during the day. The tint is a nice color but it's turned out SO PERVERT. I spent over an hour installing this on a glass door in my office. Pros: The color (brown-silver) looks good. You can't see through the office. It protects against heat/light. Cons: Distortion - although I've taken the time to soak the film and glass thoroughly, bought a good scraper and pulled out the paint each time it creased or rippled during application, the tint looks rippled and pitted . I decided to use this tinted static film to cover the doors of my display case so I can hide food inside. I had never seen this before so I wasn't sure how good my hack would turn out. Most of the installation time is spent cutting the product to the required size. You'll need a clean, large, flat surface, a marker or something similar, and a pair of good scissors. They say to use soapy water but if you don't want streaks I would recommend using Windex as it leaves no residue. I would also recommend two people, one to hold, the other to spray. This shade definitely reduces heat and UV rays. I purposely tinted half of the garage door windows to see the difference between the tinted and non-tinted sides. As you can see in my photos taken with my laser infrared thermometer, the difference between tinted and untinted sides is over 10 degrees where the sun is burning through the dark floor in my garage.
