Review on πŸ’» Plugable AB Switch - USB 3.0 Sharing Switch for Instant One-Button USB Device or Hub Swapping Between Two Computers by Scott Kalinowski

Great solution for sharing peripherals between my work desktop and my personal laptop

I bought this to easily connect my work computer's monitor, mouse, keyboard, ethernet and speakers to my personal laptop share that I brought from home. There is certain software that I run on my laptop but not on my desktop, and sometimes I need to take it with me, but I find it inconvenient to plug in a bunch of different peripherals every time. It turned out to be a great decision! A NOTICE. If you want that, you should also have a pluggable USB 3 dock, which I also bought. Between two devices, I have everything I need to quickly and easily switch between computers while keeping ALL peripherals connected. My laptop is an HP Specter X360 (best 2-in-1 laptop out there right now - buy it) and my desktop is a very basic ASUS tower. At the push of a button, everything moves from one computer to another in a few seconds (see my video). It works great! I've had absolutely no problems since setting everything up which is very easy and only took a few minutes. I didn't have to manually install any drivers or software (my computer installed it itself) and I'm very happy with the result! The reason I got a star is because I was originally hoping that the dock alone would allow me to easily switch between devices, but that's not really what it was designed for. It's a bit annoying that I have to have two different devices and all the cables connected to them for this to happen. I'd like a plugin to integrate switch functionality into the dock itself, but overall I can't complain because it works. Hope this helps someone else who wants to do the same! I paid full price for both devices and definitely recommend them.
