I bought the camera in September 2020. It was a little difficult to get online, but it worked out in the end and seemed to work fine. I got the indicators and was able to see the activity through my phone. Then we upgraded the router to 5G, but the camera only supports 2G network. So now I have two new cameras that don't work because Geeni runs on old technology. I've tried switching my router from 5G to 2G on my phone, but that option doesn't exist because Verizon no longer supports 2G. In fact, Verizon says 2G and 3G are phasing out. So soon everyone with a 2G only Geeni camera will be screwed. According to Jeanie, the workaround is to use a hotspot, but you need two phones because the phone connected to the hotspot acts as a router and the other phone acts as a vehicle to view the camera. It's a mess! How many people have two home phones, and even if people have two home phones, the workaround still sucks! And Geeni does not offer refunds, credits or discounts to the legions of customers who purchased a camera that only works on the old network that is being decommissioned. I feel cheated. Geeni had to state in their ads that the cameras only work on 2G. So now I have two cameras that don't work because the technology of this so called "tech" company is outdated and obsolete!
