. Whenever I buy a toy for my macaw it is ALWAYS made out of hardwood or very large pieces of wood. In addition to having smaller blocks, this toy also had non-solid wood. I put her in my macaw's cage and she was all but three blocks away. I hated spending $42. I spent money on this so I found real hardwood blocks with holes drilled in them and I'm going to replace the blocks with these so it's not a total loss. Grays or rhubarb could do this and it would take at least 6 months but not for the average macaw that has such bite force, my parrot split every piece of wood in half like a small nut. Very disappointed but I hope I can salvage it with new blocks ordered.
