As an ohara ikebana teacher, Japanese flower arrangement is definitely good with this wire. It's straight and cut to the length I need to tie the stems and extensions together without flipping the paddle wire to get the length I need and then trim it with one hand while holding the branch in my other hand . It's also malleable at 26 gauge but has a fun rough finish or coating that allows it to hold on without slipping when I roll it up. I will order this core wire again and tell my students about it.
