This was easy to remove and replace. One bolt each at the top and bottom that threads into a welded nut on the frame was all that had to be unscrewed. A few hours earlier I sprayed WD-40 on the bottom bolts. I used an electric shock to remove the bottom screws. Very easy. The top screws are not corroded at all as they are well hidden in a weather protected position. At first glance it looks like the bottom nut needs to be held in place with a wrench. It is not. The bottom nut is welded on, so focus on loosening the bolt. The ride was much better with one shock worn out and the other COMPLETELY dead. At $20 each and less than an hour away, the Jeep drives better than a new one.
