Size matters, depends on wearing batting gloves.
I bought the MID size for a 13 year old girl who is tall/thin for her age (5ft 7in). It fits perfectly over her batting gloves. For toddlers and middle aged teens I would buy the YOUTH size IF they don't wear batting gloves then choose a MEDIUM size! For high school students, average size is suitable without gloves, and adult size is suitable for high school students who wear gloves. First hit tonight, she wore it twice the size! Feels awkward at first but doesn't take long to get used to! Might buy another one if she loses it!
