I took a risk and scored!

I have reviewed many leak testers on Revain and could not find one with consistently good reviews. I suspect that many of the poor reviews stem from mishandling of the device (it's easy to damage one or both sensors if you don't follow the correct procedure), but there have also been many seemingly legitimate complaints about weak parts and bad quality. I noticed this tester from jifitor which was recently published and has 0 ratings. It was on the budget end of the range so thought I'd give it a try and be the first to leave a review (please). This tester is everything I hoped it would be. The body is a solid piece of metal and the sensors are a good size with protective rubber grommets over them. There is an air intake quick connector that fits my compressor, although there are many connectors and you may need to change them. Hose and spark plug hole adapters fit both regular car sizes and the smaller 10mm for motorcycles. I wish this hose was a little longer - could be an issue on larger V8 blocks. What is very good about this device is the clear and detailed instructions. It clearly warns you not to set the regulator to 0 before connecting the air line to avoid damage and shows a long list of possible causes of air leaks from various parts of your engine. If I had never used an LD tester before I could follow these instructions and have no problems. Like everything made these days, it comes in a broken case (I have a stack of broken cases in my garage), but anything that has sensors should be kept in a case. All in all, this is an ideal tester for the average user, or even a shop that might use it once or twice a week. The regulator knob is plastic and can take a drop or two, but I wouldn't want to risk it. I applied 95psi from my compressor and it worked fine. In conclusion, if you need a leak tester, I would recommend it. I just hope you have better luck with your engine than me (the airflow oil dipstick should come out).
