First was DOA -- Updated Review after receiving replacement

Updated Review: The seller contacted me after leaving an initially poor 1-star review stating my experience was not typical for his product. They sent me a replacement kit and they are right - the replacement works fine. In fact it looks like a different product from the kit I received first. All the lights and the remote worked straight away (after they were all charged), they were already paired and this remote will beep when the warning lights flash. The first one I got made no sound (?). While this is a vastly improved experience, I still only gave it 4/5 stars because, like it or not, they sent me the original in a sealed box. So defective from the factory and without function. Also, my original stance on rechargeable remotes remains - they still only include a 4-pin USB charging cable when a total of five devices (4 lights and 1 remote) need regular charging. This time the instructions don't state that the remote runs on disposable/non-rechargeable batteries, but the instructions still don't mention anything about charging the remote and again there aren't enough cables included to charge all 5 devices in one kit. install immediately. This is now the turn signal kit I use on my Rad Power Bikes RadWagon 4 cargo electric bike and I recommend it for any bike. However, keep in mind that in my experience there is a 50/50 chance that you will get DOA. ------------ --Original Review: Very poor quality and doesn't work right out of the box. Doesn't work right out of the box. First, the instructions say nothing about the ability to charge the remote (in fact it says it's a removable battery). They also don't include a charging cable for it. I tried charging it with a standard micro USB cable that I already had, but it never charged. The lights were charged (green) using the included 4-pin micro USB charging cable, but without a working remote there's no point. The buttons on the remote control were also of very poor quality. The rubber over it is very thin and you can tell by touching it that the button mechanism underneath is cheap. I'm a network engineer with 30 years of experience and I know how to use electronic devices, especially wireless ones. This one is total garbage. I can't believe they charge $60 for this low quality stuff. Also, attaching and detaching these signals to the bike becomes a real challenge for charging all four lights (and the remote if it charges). It's just very poor design, very poor materials/construction and just doesn't work. That's three hits! To return! Instead of going this route for turn signals on my e-bike, I just ride with "Wing Lights" (look for them on Revain).
