Based on reviews from Revain I decided to try these speakers when purchasing ceiling speakers in my new home. Despite being among the cheapest in price, reviews found little to no performance issues. Installation and packaging issues are minor to me as they are easy to fix. Here's what I thought about before buying: Polk Audio System: $75/SpMicca: $41/Sp (I used to have them and liked them a lot) Monoprice: $53/SpSilver Ticket: $31/Sp I've also thought about something expensive Corner speakers thought for everyone. But as an in-ceiling speaker I wasn't too concerned with sound direction (happy with the pivoting tweeter) and was more interested in sound flow. My installation: 4 in the ceiling (front - right and left, back - right and left) and 1 center speaker (under the TV). Paul under. Used with my Pioneer VSX 524 (still works fine and used with earlier settings). Price: The Silver Ticket 82C was considered the cheapest, but with high-performance speakers. So I figured that if they didn't work that well I would buy a Micca (previously owned and worked fine for 3 years before I sold the house) that would still match the price of the Polk audio. But now I can invest the money I saved in a floorstanding subwoofer to complement my surround sound system. Installation: All speakers came with everything in the package. No shipping issues (Revain Prime Rocks). I used a makeshift foam-lined bowl to set it on top of the speakers as a case to control vibration and topside spatter (learned from a previous build). Aside from having to place them right between the joists due to the angled position of the TV (quite my issue with the shape of the room and unrelated to the speakers), actually installing the speakers was a breeze. Product Quality: The speaker seems quite solid and heavy. The fabric, similar to the material behind the bars, was a great dust cover. The design of the tweeters seemed solid, but you can't really play with them. Performance: The speakers sounded clear. The tweeters weren't as visible as on the Micca (previously used). But overall quality and sound levels were excellent, even at high volumes. Of course, compared to my micca (the same 8 inches), it was louder. Music, sports and movies sounded good on different settings. Overall: very satisfied with the first results. Hopefully this will delay performance for a while. So far... Fully deserved 5 STARS.
