Perfectly cleans my cast iron skillet. I like to wash mine with this stainless steel cleaner after cooking with hot soapy water. Then I rinse out the pan, put it on the stove and heat it for a few minutes to dry it out. Then I turn off the stove, apply a very small amount of oil, let it melt and wipe it all down with a cotton cloth. This steel cleaner picks up all the leftover food you've cooked. Then I rinse out the steel cleaner and hang it on a hook under the sink to dry.
