Review on Honest Lighter Tabletop Refillable Tobacco by Dawn Gutierrez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Reviewed after 1 month

Ok, after a month of fairly intensive use, here is my assessment. All in all a pretty decent lighter. Most conventional lighters fail after a few weeks. The feel and quality is the best I have ever experienced (after more than a dozen purchases). Pros: The butane reservoir is a large reservoir, so frequent refilling is not required. QUALITY FEEL AND DESIGN - Durability outperforms most competitors Price: Although the initial price is higher, the lifespan is longer making it more cost-effective in the long run. Cons: Flame color: Flame was red for a while, then turned blue and has stayed blue ever since (annoying but still works) Ignition: Due to wear and tear, the number of clicks to ignite is 3-6 times and seems to be increasing over time. I suspect it won't start. This also happens after refilling with butane. However, this can also be caused by excessive throttling of the gas flow. Even though it's full of fuel and gas mileage is high, the number of "clicks" for the ignition seems to have increased over the past month. Another factor is the wind when fans are running nearby or strong winds disrupt the pilot gas supply. When it's on, it's no longer a problem. As the burner heats up, the number of "clicks" to ignite seems to decrease. However, it can be annoying to press 4-6 times to turn on the ignition. Would I buy again, yes, and I just bought. Because I expect the ignition to stop working. I have found that the ignition is the only thing that goes out in the first place. Usually crappy plastic parts break with repeated use. The ignition button appears to be plastic on this one as well. I'll keep using the lighter until it breaks and I'll let you know when it breaks.

Pros
  • Powerful and windproof 4 flame red flame lighter equipped with an adjustable flame adjuster on the bottom and large capacity refillable butane gas for long term use
Cons
  • unreliable
