So first of all I'm glad you sold this set. Without them I would have had to buy a new motor for 4 times the price so it was a good option. Also, I was sure the gear had been removed but not sure what gear it was and not wanting to wait days for the correct part to arrive (with the door panel removed) I bought a kit. long before installation. The yellowish gear (I don't know the technical term for this particular gear) visible from the outside of the motor doesn't match the ESC. I tried about half a dozen times before taking the motor apart again and trying to install just the part on the ESC. It was obvious. The molding was of poor quality and would never have fitted unless it was trimmed with a stationery knife. The toothed part was deformed and could not sit in the controller mount. Luckily the original part was in perfect condition so I replaced it and the whole mechanism fitted perfectly. After 10 minutes the panel was back on, the woman was glad her window was fixed. I was glad she didn't go to the dealer because they offered her $450 for repairs. In general everything worked, but I was disappointed that I had to repair the original parts with new ones to make it work. Worse, I lubricated all the gears every time so a lot of white lithium grease was wasted. Hope that helps.
