It's not cheaply made but looks and feels very sturdy and holds the AirTag in place. The carbine is fairly durable and well built; The case is open on both sides, so the sound of the call does not go out. Of course there is no scratch protection, the metal side of the AirTag can be scratched easily, but that is not a problem with this case/sleeve, rather poor design and choice of metal by Apple Inc. The Apple-designed AirTag leather loop for $39.00 is also prone to scratches, so that's fine.
