Engineers are very good at designing simple things that are highly desirable, but fail on purpose. This fuel flap spring assembly is nice in that it can be easily replaced, but from what I can see it has had to be replaced several times over the course of ownership. What actually holds the spring to the locking strut is the smallest plastic tab. If it breaks, the spring will fall off and you will no longer be able to open the tank cap without help. Nobody wants to go to the dealer for that shit. At Revane's price, buy a few. I have made. Three to be exact. One in the car, one spare in the car and one spare at home. Do that! You'll thank yourself later.
