OEM packaging, looks fake but may be real

I was expecting the lock handle to arrive in the same box I would buy from Home Depot but that's not the case, it just is a normal brown cardboard box. It looks like an OEM box if you know the term. The handle and the inside of the lock don't look quite right. I recently purchased the same locking knobs from Home Depot and all I can say is that the Home Depot Kwikset version looks better. There's a cheap look at this one. It may be true, but it looks like a fake. The metal inside is different, the screws are different. That's fine for my purposes, but there's a reason you're paying $35 when it's on sale in HD for $48.
