My 2004 Buick LeSabre has a strange vibration on the passenger side and a strange "rocking" feeling when starting off. Further analysis showed that the front right control arm bushing had failed after 10 years and 110,000 miles. These bushings differ from other similar bushings in other vehicles in that they are permanently installed in the arm and cannot be removed/replaced. This means a complete control arm replacement is required and this Dorman control arm is a perfect fit. With the help of a more experienced mechanic friend, this hand was easily replaced in about ninety minutes. I would have no hesitation in recommending this replacement part to any Lesabre or similar chassis owner in need of such a repair. EDIT: After 4 years and another 33,000 miles the bushings and ball joint on this unit have failed and need to be replaced. I've read about concerns about the long-term quality of this piece, although others have had success. I will consider buying a Moog equivalent. Rating reduced from five to three stars. I expected a longer lifespan - my car is made for everyday use, usually spends time on the highway, hasn't been treated or roughly driven.
